How does one live by true, pure love
Does it come from within, instilled from above
Instinctive by nature or a process that’s learned
Does it come with a price--bought or earned
Would I die for love?

Love’s born in odd places, through strangers and friends
How does it start and where does it end
Reflecting on precious memories still warm
Teaches love can weather many a storm
Would I fight for love?

Sometimes it’s risky to express true emotions
To commit to someone for a lifelong devotion
Like skillfully woven blanket threads
Intertwined hearts have nothing to dread
To whom am I bound?

Words like soldiers march across Bible pages
Stories that tutor, passed down through the ages
How lovely the blooms, how fragrant the scent
Of God-rooted love-- mature and content
How deep are my roots?

Centuries ago pure love was defined
Through God’s perfect plan for all of mankind
Unwavering commitment so none would be lost
A Son’s ransomed love covered everyone’s cost
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NLT

Awesome poem! How can anyone look at Jesus and the cost and not realize God’s unfathomable love and commitment to mankind? Great job!

This was good. One thing that bothered me was the questions did not have question marks at the end of the sentences.
