"Hey Fiona, what's up?"
"Oh, so you are talking to me then?"
"Well, yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
"Oh, just something I read on Facebook."
"What did you read?"
"That you're mad at me."
"Wha?! I'm not mad at you."
"That's not what I heard... :-("
"Well, who says that I'm mad at you?!"
"Oh, you don't know her."
"Right. And this complete stranger thinks I'm mad at you because....?"
"Because of what you wrote on Lisa's wall."
"Lisa? What, my friend Lisa?! How does 'Gina' know what I wrote on Lisa's wall?!"
"You're the smart one, I'm sure you'll figure it out!"
"Don't be like that, tell me!"
"You wrote, "Little Sisters, who'd have 'em (rolling eyes)?" Don't try and deny it, Stevo saw it himself."
"WHO IS STEVO?!"
"Lisa's brother. Duh. I thought she was your friend?!"
"Yeah, whatever :-P But I'm still not getting the connection...."
"Aghghg! Stevo 'liked' your comment on Lisa's wall, which Peter saw - they're best mates FYI. Peter also clicked on 'like' and his sister, Tina saw his 'like' and, recognising your strangely-spelled surname, asked if you were from her old school. So she went to your profile and had a look and discovered that, yes, it was you and realised you were talking about me! Excited about tracking us both down after so long, Tina shared with her boyfriend, George, the comment and his cousin, Gina, just happened to be in the room as well."
"Sorry, still lost. I mean, do YOU actually know this Gina?"
"I do now! We accepted each others' friend requests just this morning."
"Right. And that's when you discovered that I was "mad at you," because I wrote "Little sisters, who'd have 'em (rolling eyes)?" on a friend of MINE'S Facebook wall?"
"Deb, can you do something for me?"
"I s'pose, maybe. Depends. Whatchya want?"
"Close your laptop and come in here."
Tick tock, tick tock ... KNOCK, KNOCK
"Come here, you silly duffer! That comment had nothing to do with you! We'd been talking about her little sister...you see, she had assumed they weren't speaking to one another because of a misinterpreted Facebook comment made by a complete stranger! Sound familiar?"
Just like I did."
"So I'm not a bother to you?"
"Of course not! Well, maybe when you argue with me on Facebook from your bedroom instead of coming to see me in mine, face to face. Sweetie, you know if you have a problem with something I've said or done that you can talk to me; please don't resort to social media to sort out our problems - or create them, for that matter! Okay?"
"Yeah, okay. So, we can still be friends?"
"We never stopped being friends!"
"Actually, we kinda did..I just deleted you from my Facebook friends list..."
