“Spam I am,
Spam I am.
You should read me,
You will see
My words will fill
Your world with glee.”

‘You’ve got mail’
Or so I think,
Until I read
A virus link.

“Come on,
Come on,
I’m not that bad;
Just view
Me like
A Newsday ad.”

Feigning substance
Worth my time,
But senseless
As a toddler’s rhyme.

“Spam I am,
Spam I am.
Please take a glance...
My offer may be
Worth a chance.”

That Spam I am,
That Spam I am,
I do not like that
Spam I am.
I’d rather eat
Green eggs and ham.

“Would you like a loan
For your new cell phone?
Discount drugs shipped on sale?
You see, I’m Spam
Not just junk mail!”

No, I wouldn’t like a loan.
I’m satisfied with my cell phone.
I don’t need drugs on sale today,
So Spam, it’s time to go away.

You’re just like sin
That can creep in
Tempting, tempting
You’ll lie and cheat;
Goodbye Spam,
I hit delete!

Fun! there were two of these spam I am poems and it was entertaining to see how different they are.

This is a fun read with a profound message. It's interesting to read the different takes on Spam I Am. I have a difficult time with rhythm but you made it look easy. I really liked the ending.
Noel Mitaxa 11/17/11
Very clever approach in its simplicity and rhythm. Loved the ending also.

Ha, Ha...Seems like Dr Seuss sure left impressions with many of us, with THREE “Spam-I-Am” poems in masters...that is just too funny! Ah, but they say great minds think alike. I really love the message in your last verse, spam does creep in and cause harm and havoc like sin...we just need to delete sin, like spam at the first notice of it! Very entertaining and meaningful read!

There would have been four Spam-I-Am's if Noel had managed to submit his. Looks like Dr. Seuss has been spammed.

You gotta love Dr. Suess! You made this totally enjoyable!
