I understand Iím sluggish and foggy and probably need to be defragmented, or some such mysterious sounding fix for what has gummed up my works worse than molasses in piano keys. My power is compromised and the things theyíre saying about my memoryÖoh my! Thereís no chance of replacing me with a more updated model.

My security shield is breached and that corrupting stuff referred to as SPAM is seeping in. It ought to be called liverwurst, or maybe haggis. In other words, thereís a nasty gap through which an icky-sicky-sticky invisible enemy has gained control of my faculties and is busy rendering me helpless. Iím doomed.

Some sinister sneaky snake is slinking in to siphon the life right out of me. I canít raise screens and firewalls fast enough to protect myself from the viral attacks that leave me weak and vulnerable. Whoís doing this horrible thing to me?

There are people who depend on me to be up and running no matter the time, day or night. Calling tech support is out of the question. Besides, they are said to speak a foreign language.

Although we were created to be amazing technical tools for information and social networking--for learning and teaching--for fun and helping, there is so much evil intent working overtime to saturate our circuitry that we often have meltdowns and then just freeze up (if one can melt and freeze at the same time).

Here I sitÖcaught in a gridlock and bound by disguised perpetrators who constantly batter all the fragile barriers I thought were in place to repel junk and prevent permanent damage. My goodness, I feel too pitiful and exposed for words. The ambush must stop. The plug will have to be pulled.

Iím at the end of a long and risky road and my very minutes are numbered. Where will they send me? Is there a final dump for broken down information highway travelers whoíve been blindsided?

Wait! I sense thereís a remedy being downloaded into my motherboard. Itís a little round disc full of neutralizing repair. Iím too ashamed to do anything but let it take over and reprogram the heart and brains of the highly specialized design I was meant to be.

Little by little I feel that secure connection being restored. The almost fatal damage is reversed and Iím very close to being certified as new. Hallelujah!

Letís face it. Scripture on CD rescued my mortal life and eternal spirit from insidious evil that slowly forced me to the brink of destruction. I learned there are dire consequences to breaking Godís TOP TEN and ignoring the tools He provided to keep me functioning safely. His WORD, through Jesus, intercepted my untimely obliteration.

Iím clean and defragmented. All neurotransmitters are repaired and my memory is sharp and blessedly secure from accusatory reminders. I can breathe. AhÖ

Now that Iím up and running on all cylinders again, shielded from the destruction of malicious attacks, I can get to work on my old desktop computer. It has served me well, and all because Iíve been extremely cautious and protective of its innards (so to speak).

Iíve bought the best security systems and spent hours blocking unwanted cookies and phishing expeditions meant to bring harm . I figured if I took care of it, it would take care of me. My determined vigilance over that hunk of metal and wire has paid off. There is, however, a vitally important bottom line to consider in my own life.

SPAM: Sin Plugs All Minds.

Just like vicious attacks on the electronic tools we depend on in the 21st Century, the only security for the sensitive circuitry of a humanís mind and spirit lies in constant awareness of the state of our state. Creeping, devious, subtle incoming communication can tank any of us manipulated by the world.

Computers are smart and useful; yet vulnerable. They must be protected to function correctly. Humans are thatÖand more. Why do we let down our guards and allow sin to invade the personal space of our spirits and clutter our minds and compromise our eternal security?

Jesus Saves is not just some vague, overused, throw-away mantra. He is the secret to acquiring the full armor of GodÖincluding the boots. Itís the ultimate supreme tech support available for His childrenÖ and itís free on request.

Updated report: All systems tracking and on alert.

S.P.A.M. deleted.

Power restored; full speed ahead.

Pause and enter. Thank you, Lord.

Oh how I love this! You are so creative with this difficult topic. I had a hard time understanding what spam is but your painting of it really helped!

I think it was brilliant to show the POV of a computer. I did notice in the end when you were explaining the analogy it seemed like the POV switched from the computer to a person then back to the computer.

But I think your illustration is excellent and it really opened my eyes. Outstanding writing!

Simply brilliant! There are no words to describe this amazingly well written entry-which packed a powerful message in every paragraph.

Loved it! Fabulous!

God Bless you~

Okay, I think it was supposed to sound like the POV of a computer in the beginning, but it actually ends up being a person, at least that is the way I see it. Very cleverly written, with great message and I thoroughly enjoyed the read!
