Googols of drops of information
Lie beneath our toes,
But the finite mind cannot bear
The wealth
Of infinity,
And a heart set loose
Upon the open sea
Will suffocate.

In our unquenchable thirst
For conquest
We’ve created an engine
To navigate the seas;
Our Googles and Bings
Provide access
To uncountable inlets and coves
Without drowning us
In the magnitude
Of information.

But the surface of the sea
Is unbroken,
And the treasures
At the bottom
Evade our grasp
As we skim information
With our advanced technology
And search techniques.

Technology cannot navigate
The depths of infinity;
Some knowledge can only be grasped
With the heart.
As the Spirit become our engine
We dive for treasure
After treasure;
We do not claim
The googols of the sea,
But rather, we find the little jewels
That enable you and I
To be the sages God called us to be,
The finite bearers
Of divine wisdom.

Wow - nicely done, this is a well written beautiful piece. I especially loved:

"To be the sages God called us to be,the finite bearers
Of divine wisdom."

I enjoyed this - thank you.
God Bless~

Interesting poem with lots of food for thought! Yes, a search engine is only as wise as the information its creators feed into it. Divine wisdom is the real information treasure! I enjoyed this read very much. Well done. Blessings.
