Why should I wait, winter pale and weak
at the edge of the foaming sea?
I could swim past persistent swells
into the cold calm
keep going
and going
sink under...

And disappear forever.

Why should I wait, tender tears streaming,
at sleepís solemn border
between conscious and dream?
Popping pills could
steal my breath
and release my pain
to the stars...

I could sleep forever.

Why should I continue puppet ways,
smiling as if
I wanted to smile;
talking as if
I wanted to talk;
living as if
I wanted to live...

And not leave forever.

Convince me, Lord,
I am loved,
that thereís a reason
to smile
to talk
to live...

And I will.

And I will...

Convince you
you are loved
that thereís a reason
to smile
to talk
to live...

And not leave forever.

From the womb, you have purpose
to be my light
and smile to the grieving,
and talk to the lonely,
and live to love
through me.

You could wait
at sleepís borders
and I would give you rest
and refresh you.
Donít rob me
of the life I created
in you.
Of the love I breathed
in you.
Of the time I hold
for you...

You canít disappear forever.

Because I love you
and never leave your side,
Iíd push back the foaming sea,
and carry you over the swells
into the calm shelter of my wings,
lifting you higher
and higher
over your pain.

I wonít persuade you
to love yourself
or love me.
But know I love you,
enough to die for you
to live
Forever.

This was powerful and the MC wanting to go before his/her time- conjured up all kinds of emotions, I have helped many people in that position before. It always takes GOD to change it all, and a vessel placed there to help do God's work. Brilliantly done. God Bless~

The pain and emptiness of this life can so easily draw people to contemplate suicide, if they have no hope beyond this life - if they donít have that hope and assurance of Godís love and the reality of a better life beyond this one. This showed that well. Enjoyed.
