Sinister Salesman

They call me Doctor Feelgood,
And my business is great.
There's always someone lined up,
But you'll never have to wait.

With a store in every town,
You won't need a Yellow Book.
My supply meets your demand,
And you'll never see the hook.

I've got everything you want,
I've got nothing that you need.
Prices aren't negotiable,
The results are guaranteed.

My top sellers are power,
Popularity...prestige.
You'll pay the asking prices,
Then you'll bow to me, your liege.

You won't see 'til it's too late,
I'm the Master of Deceit.
Just when you think you've made it,
I'll turn joy into defeat.

You think that you'll be happy,
And your soul you'll gladly sell,
The product that you're buying,
Is a one-way trip to Hell.

My offers are so tempting...
I'm here twenty-four/seven.
You know what it will cost you?
Eternity in Heaven.

Too bad you did not listen,
And too bad you could not see,
That all you ever needed,
The Lord gives away for free.
