From heaven he had been evicted
He schemed to steal whom God had gifted,
Manipulation was his game
The lying prince enjoys his blame.
S-s-sell to me your shriveling soul
The tree will broaden all you know.

Shhh--did you hear the hissing sound
Before he struck and took you down.

Start with little lies at first
Proceed until you are well versed,
How many victims in the wake
Of greedy plots that take, take, take.
S-s-sell to me your shriveling soul
Then worldly treasures Iíll bestow.

Shhh--be alert and listen up
Before you drink the tempters cup.

A vow of love should last forever
Lest you follow Mr. Clever,
He knows the wants of worldly men--
Like shooting rabbits in a pen.
S-s-sell to me your shriveling soul
Female trophies--thatís your goal.

Shhh--heís only setting out the bait
Will you betray your faithful mate.

Cheating of another form--
Students conniving in their dorms,
Slipping grades give them permission
To plunge into sinís submission.
S-s-sell to me your shriveling souls
For students now with names aglow.

Shhh--hear the pealing of the bells
Heís leading you down halls of hell.

Lust, lies, greed and hate
He knows these help you salivate,
Manís appetite for selfish gain
The ticket price to ride his train.
S-s-sell to me your shriveling soul
Success and power you shall know.

Shhh--hear the hissing soft and sweet
His victories shadow your defeats.

Sellouts, weíre all candidates--
When won, he hopes weíll resonate
Evilness with all its faces,
Fallen souls mired in disgraces.
S-s-sell to me your shriveling soul
Iíll grant to you unleashed control.

Shhh--hear the shrill of cackling laughter
Each soul a prize he once sought after.

He traps with charm, he cons with wit
He pitches to each their perfect fit,
On bended knees drop now and pray
Be strong--donít be led astray.
Give to God your searching soul
With His help you can be whole.

Shhh--hear Godís gentle voice within
Itís time to turn away from sin.

Oh Wow! *chilling* The repeated line with the hiss was eerie. Great writing!

Awesome descriptions! Sent chills down my spine. The repeated stanza is very effective.
