Review message:

Dear One,

I knew that you would never come to me on your own. Youíre not one who would pursue a relationship with me. Itís up to me to chase after you, to fight for you, to prove my love to you.

I know that there are others ... others clamoring for your attention. Begging for you to be theirs. Practically ripping your gaze from me. So I know itís up to me. You would not think of me on your own for there are too many choices. So many who desire your hand.

But I know their hearts. I know that they couldnít contain the burning love that my own heart holds for you. Theyíve never come close to feeling that kind of love.

With every roaring wave that beats against an ocean reef, my heart groans for you. With every countless star that casts a sparkle of jewels in your lovely eyes, my love shines forth.

With every skylark and turtledove and soaring bird that pours its heart in song to the clouds, my voice sings out and calls for you to be mine.

I love you, precious. Mere words could not describe the depth of it. And so Iíll have to show you. Iím sending this message and so much more. Iím reaching out to you. Iím off to fight for your hand.

Holding you for eternity,

Jesus

The ending didn't surprise me, but it certainly is a heartfelt description of our Lord's reaching out to all those He loves. A great take on the theme--quite outside the box.

Okay that was really creepy -- in a good way -- let me explain. First, the title, perhaps I'm in a literal mood but the words in the title felt like they were reaching for me. So I came in. And the piece, with the words, kept pulling me in with their reach. Having wasted over forty years of my life ignoring my Lord and Savior, I know exactly what this 'reaching' by Him feels like for when I finally noticed it I clearly understood what it was.

With all this blathering of mine I can't even begin to explain how strongly I connected to this piece.

What a beautiful love letter from Jesus.

Short and pointed straight to the heart. "Oh Love that will not let me go."
Catrina Bradley 05/16/11
Short, but all was said that needed to be said. So beautiful. The 5th and 6th paragraphs are simply priceless.

Congratulations on placing 9th in your level!

Yep, that's how God thinks of us. I'm so glad he does. His love is overwhelming.

Congrats on placing! :)
