That love has now slipped from my grasp.
The zenith of all my heights and hopes
Lowered ...
To nadir's depth ...
Now distant indifference.
Those binding bonds ...
Bodies twined ...
Eternal oneness ...
Thrust apart by chill and coldness.
Eternal promises sealed by lovers' lips
Forever severed by retracted love.
Existence …
Belief of rekindled fire ...
Blind hearts to open and breathe again.
I shout an echo from afar
Through those same distant stars –
An echo of my love.
Winged message ...
Fly ...
Reverberate my eternal love
To that doubting heart …
Why do I now await in fear
Her bitter-sweet reply?
Faded dreams ...
Amidst clouded drooping heads ...
Flowered words ...
Became untruths.
Sworn promises ...
Long forgotten –
That once we spoke but never knew.
Can hope stir passion that is dead?
Or faith revive my dreams again?
Can fervour win another day ...
What's carelessly been tossed away?
Will chance at last then ...
Spark a light ...
To brighten up my darkest night?
