In the garden of Your world.
May others see in my demeanor
A beautiful reflection of Your grace.
When my head is drooping
From the weight of life’s dark storms
Turn me to the sun to see
Your love that shines on me.
Send sweetest rains to wash away
My head tossed high in arrogance
My shoulders shrugged with
Indifference and unconcern
My lips turned upside down in
Complaint and criticism
My eyes closed to the many needs
Of those who are in distress
My jaws tightened and teeth clenched
In stubbornness and anger.
Waft gentle winds upon me
To shape me in Your image.
Make my head to bow before You
In a humbleness of spirit
My countenance to glow alive
With tenderness and love
My eyes to open widely
In caring and concern
My hands and feet to freely move
To carry out Your bidding.
Make my life yield forth Your fragrance
In the garden of Your world.
