hey.
huh?
i heard
something;
a whisper, a whimper;
i'm not sure.
go
away!
go, go
away!
can't you see,
see i'm sleeping?
psst
hey.
what?
the east wind;
the wind, it spoke to me.
you don't
say.
yeah.
just idle gossip.
now go back,
back to sleep.
psst
hey.
what?
I heard music
like the trill of a trumpet.
like a trumpet?
yeah.
no trumpets here.
go back,
back to sleep.
psst
hey.
stop it!
no I
heard music again.
east wind again?
yeah.
just moaning in the eaves.
now go back
back to sleep.
psst
hey.
grrr!
good news came
blowing;
blowing on the morning wind.
news
you say?
can't be good.
no good news comes on an easterly wind.
please go back
back to sleep.
psst
hey.
hey!
didn't I say...
yes
but...
what's that music?
see, i told you.
seems to be wafting on the wind from
the east.
yeah.
let's go.
yes, lets go see.
follow, follow the music where it leads.
follow, follow.
see! do you see?
up there!
yes, i see; up there.
white wings
obliterating the darkness.
shh! listen!
listen through the darkness.
what? a king you say?
a king
born here?
here?
proclamations and praise?
not just a king?
a King...of kings?
what kind of rumor is this anyway?
not a rumor – no, no rumor at all!
look there!
see there?
a star stands still o'er a stable.
a lone star stands
o're a lowly stable.
music stirs
lifting and lightening
the stifled spirit of sin-slaved man;
borne on the easterly breeze of
a holy morning.
a new song soars
rising on the east wind
borne on the cries
of a newborn babe
born 'neath a lone bright star
standing still o're a lowly stable.
psst
hey.
huh?
i heard
something;
not rumor
not gossip but
harmony and resonance.
now i'm sure.
psst
hey.
what?
i heard music
like the trill of a trumpet.
follow, follow the music where it leads.
follow, follow.
