Jon, do you recall yesterday,
When we were sweet sixteen.
I was very young and naÔve,
A really shy colleen.

Sue, I remember yesterday,
When I first noticed you.
My poor heart was a fluttering,
And I was tongue-tied too.

Ah...young love.

Your velvet brown eyes flashed at me,
A heartbreaking smile too.
Secured my total surrender,
I fell in love with you.

One glance into your eyes of blue,
And you beguiled my soul.
The final seal a soft, soft kiss,
And you were in control.

Ah...romantic love.

Remember the day you proposed,
While kneeling on one knee.
You promised to love me always,
Be mine eternally.

I meant evíry word I spoke Babe,
Youíre my life I am a blessed man.
The day I took you as my wife,
Was when my world began.

Ah...passionate love.

God blessed us with a family,
Two daughters and one boy.
They soon were grown had families,
Our life is full of joy.

Love, evíry day Iím thankful for
You, our children, and health.
Memíries abound oíer sixty years,
Iím a man with great wealth.

Ah...committed love.

Dear, I guess it is time to end,
Our spell of reminisce.
We need to go inside and rest,
I need a little kiss.

Angel, Let me move my wheel chair
Next to yours, face to face.
We can give each other a smooch,
And with our arms embrace.

Ah...true love.

True love is like our Saviorís love
Which never ebbs or wanes.
Heís always near Heíll never leave,
Through joy, despair, He remains.

Some things were worth waiting two weeks to read and this is one of them, for sure. Sweet and beautifully written. I like how you distinguished the dialogues. Well done.

I'm still smiling! Thank you for the love-ly trip full of many golden years. Nicely formatted, thoroughly enjoyed. Blessings. :)

A well written piece expressing the kind of love we ought always to have and keep as husbands and wives. Like our Savior's love, the love of two that have become one should also hold fast and last.

Ohh, this is so precious. Lovely picture of enduring lifelong love. If you have been the one experiencing, you are blessed, indeed!

This was a sweet exchange between two lovers.
