Distant headlights lit up the fields of multicolored valleys and ultra green hills as the train approached the station. The brakes gave a final screech and the passenger cars filled to capacity with weary souls was unloaded.

Do I have to go?” the Young One asked.

“Yes, it’s your turn,” the Bright One responded smiling reassuringly.

The Young One nervously glanced behind him and scanned the others waiting to board. The line was endless and the masses were glowing in anticipation of the long ride ahead. One by one the cars were reloaded and buckled with eagerly awaiting passengers.

It was time; the day had finally arrived.

The Bright One paused and spoke briefly before releasing the train on its voyage.

“Little ones, you have a long and twisting road ahead. Soon you will be propelled into an unfamiliar world. At first, you will feel distressed and cry many tears. But, after a while, the sad and empty feelings will pass and you will adapt to your new surroundings. During the course of your maturity, your body and soul will experience many challenges. Life’s events will elicit an array of feelings from total despair to genuine elation, as you struggle to make the right choices.”

“Will our Father be with us?” a Young One asked.

The Bright One smiled and said, “At our Father’s designated time, the spark of His Spirit will ignite and reside inside of you. He will be right there holding your hand through all of your life experiences.

“Ohhhhh,” the young ones said in unison.

The Bright One spoke one last time before departure.

“Your Father loves you very much. Do your best, little ones, to make Him smile as you grow in His love.”

The Bright One’s loving blue eyes soothed their fears as the train slowly churned away from the celestial light into the dimly lit horizon. It made one last turn on the track before the cars detached and accelerated toward their final destinations.

Hey, you don’t have to pull on me, I’ll come out.

“WAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!” What was that noise coming out of my mouth?

Oh, it’s waaay too bright out here! I can’t see! Where is my Father or Bright one?

Stop touching me. What is that pointy thing in your hand?

“WAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!”

How come every time I try to talk, all that comes out is, “WAAAAAAAAAAHHH.”

Hey, something’s wrong. Why are my hands and feet this bluish color instead of pink like the rest of me?

Ok, this is better. I feel less shaky with this soft thing around me and a thingamajig tube on my head. What’s that flash of light? Oh, no, not pictures. I’m looking pretty silly right now!

Aaahh, this is nice! A female person is holding me close and making me feel all warm inside.

Wait!! We’re moving. Where is she taking me?

Oh no! I’m in a room with others, all making that noise.

“WAAAAAAAAAAHHH!”

A hush encompassed the nursery as all newbie eyes gazed at the upper right corner of the room.

“Bright One is that you?” the Little One asked.

“Yes, Little One, I’m here.”

The gentle angelic light warmed the nursery, allowing the new souls to resonate with a reassuring inner peace that their Father had sent protection and guidance on their journey into maturity.

With closed eyes and smiles, they breathed in the encouragement that radiated from the Bright One. The confidence and comfort level in the new surroundings was beginning to replace the insecurities and fears they felt. All at once, the peaceful emotional aura in the nursery switched gears, as the unthinkable happened to the newest one.

Wow, that wet stuff the female person is rubbing on me is cold! Why are they placing that blue paper over me? Wait, that masked person in green is coming toward me with a little knife! Oh no! Help me Bright One!

“WWWWAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!”

Oh I chuckled. I can't help if maybe some will be confused at the end, but after several years of working maternity, I definitely got it. I smiled and chuckled through many parts. You have a creative mind.
