Never again!

Poor Carol, she hurts so bad!

Graaa-phit-phit

She didn’t deserve this, why?

Snort-nort-ort

How could Jim do such a thing?

Rrrraa-aa-aa-aa

Carol’s is such a good wife, really…

Sphwww-phit- ort-ort

How long has Jim been cheating on her?

Sluuurt-snort-phu-phphph

Were all those out of town trips just affairs?

SNORT-PEUWY-AAGH

What will she do with three kids…

Sghxt-grrr-ort

…and no job skills?

Grrr-rah-phewxy

I’m so thankful my husband…

Phewt-snort-snort

…doesn’t take out of town assignments.

Graah-snort-nort

I know were my husband is every…

Sxt-grrrr-phew

…night. Right here beside me.

SSSNNNORTTT-NORT-NORT

“Honey…honey…”

“Awww…mmm…awww….is it time to get up?”

“Honey, I just wanted to say I love you!”

“Mmmm…awww…that’s good. I love you too. Can I go back to sleep now?”

I softly kiss his cheek and he rolls over onto his side as I slip one arm under his pillow and the other around him drawing myself close, forming my body into his contour.

I’ll never complain about his snoring again.

His respirations grow quieter.

Well…maybe…just a little…no, never again! I love to hear him breathe. The snoring I can live with, I know where my husband is each night, home with me! Thank you, Lord.

grrr-rrr-ahhph

I snuggle closer.

I couldn't figure out what all those crazy words were supposed to be - THEN, I got it! Good story! I'll have to remember this the next time I'm tempted to smother my husband in his sleep because his snoring has, once again, awakened me.

Ha yes, I am thankful for my husband as well, but pray he is delivered from that hog callin' lol. It would not be so bad if I could fall asleep first, but it NEVER happens that way. Cute story.

Yes, very cute story.

BTW, most snoring is caused by apnea. My sleepless nights disappeared once my husband started using a CPap machine for apnea--now it's just smooth, steady, white noise from the machine.

This is a good lesson. I've heard of many widows who complained of their husband's snoring then couldn't sleep after. An editing note- were should have been where. You did a great job weaving the humor throughout this piece.
