"Where is Grandma Ruthie's Bible? --Oh, here it is. Robbie, Son, leaf through this and see if you can find anything else; a card or scribbling of notes. Sometimes people put stuff in their Bibles for us to find, especially at times like these."
"But..."
"Just look through carefully and see what you find."
"There's nothing in here; just all these bumps and...Wait--I think I found something."

I see you God. In the touch of my great granddaughter’s hair; her golden locks wrap around my gnarled fingers, the silky tendrils slip past my skin.
I see you God through the rustling wind, shearing past the giant elms; the branches crackling and leafs scattering. Here comes Bob, the mailman crunching the leaves on my walkway.
I see you God on the shores of the great sea; the warm sand enveloping my toes. I gather the abandoned dwellings after sifting through. I trace out the ridges and channels of the sea creature's old homes with delight. Smelling the salt and brine from the Fisherman's wharf close by, I see you God calling us to be Fishers of Men.
I see you God in the whirring of the hummingbird's wings, my daily visitor to the flower box. The click, chirp, click of the cricket faithfully calling for his mate and the falling of fresh peaches as they thump on the ground sing of glorious creation.
I see you God in the words of the Hymnal's brittle pages; the vibration of the organ massaging my soul, filling me with anticipation of a day soon to come.
I see you God in the memories as I touch this ring, the love of a man as Christ loves the Church. I belong to two carpenters. The smell of sweat and sawdust and Your tender mercies touch me from both sides telling me I am blessed.
I see you God in my dreams every night for I hear your call to join You soon. I see you in Your Scriptures; Your Words touch my skin and connect my soul to Yours.
I see You God, for You make Yourself known and through me, may that Light and Glory shine through the darkness of others.

"Hey Mom, look at this. It's the only thing written out in her Braille Bible, and these pages are loose. I wonder how these words were written. Who wrote these for Grandma Ruthie? Do you think she can see me now, Mom? Did God already give her new eyes?"
"Oh, I think Grandma Ruthie has always seen more than we can hope to see in our lifetime, Son. Come on, let’s take her Bible and her special note to the Minister now…Oh, grab her jar of seashells too.
