Have you ever tasted the sky?
I have.
It tastes like fresh blueberries
Drowned in whip cream.
It’s as silky as cheesecake,
But it won’t make you fat!

Try it!
Take a spoon,
Dip it,
Lick it,
And smile!

Have you ever nibbled a cloud?
I have.
It is as soft as cotton candy,
But not sticky—
Fluffy, like marshmallows,
And as smooth as pudding.

Try it!
Use a finger,
Give a twirl,
Stick it in your mouth,
And smile!

Have you ever drunk sunlight?
I have.
It revives like broth,
But is twice as alive,
And sings like honey
With every sip.

Try it!
Part your lips,
Give a sip,
Sigh with gladness,
And smile!

Have you ever tasted heaven?
I have.
It tastes like the sky,
And the clouds,
And sunlight,
Mixed with lots and lots of love.

Try it!
Feast on love,
Drink of joy,
Eat with Jesus,
And smile!

I enjoyed this poem, especially when I became "childlike" and began to taste and see through those eyes.

Great take on subject. I envy the child sometimes it takes a while to clear the adult mind to taste like a child. Enjoyed It, keep writing.
