God said to Moses come up here
Atop Mount Sinai, come alone.
Here are my commandments, the law,
Personally carved by me in stone.

He descended the mountain top
Tablets in hand, spoke with the Jews.
He said, you should follow Godís laws
Or die in your sins, you must choose.

You shall not have any other gods
Before me, it must not be done.
I am the Lord God Almighty.
This is commandment number one.

Donít worship graven images
You must not bow down, never do.
I am the Lord God Almighty
This is commandment number two.

You shall not use my name in vain
Thatís disrespectful, it mustnít be.
I am the Lord God Almighty.
This is commandment number three.

You shall keep holy the Sabbath Day.
Six days you may work and no more.
I am the Lord God Almighty.
This is commandment number four.

Honor your mother and father,
All the days that you are alive.
I am the Lord God Almighty,
This is commandment number five.

You shall not kill a living soul.
Be wise and avoid all conflicts.
I am the Lord God Almighty.
This is commandment number six.

You shall not commit adultery,
I will be watching from heaven.
I am the Lord God Almighty.
This is commandment number seven.

You shall not steal from anyone,
Thievery I did not create.
I am the Lord God Almighty.
This is commandment number eight.

You shall not lie about anyone,
This is stepping across the line.
I am the Lord God Almighty.
This is commandment number nine.

You shall not covet anything,
Possessed and owned by other men.
I am the Lord God Almighty.
This is commandment number ten.

These commandments Jesus fulfilled.
No more under the law but free.
Jesus Christís blood covers our sins.
Weíll live with Him eternally.

Creative work on the Ten Commandments in verse. I especially like your last stanza stating that Jesus fulfilled the law. I'm so glad we're not "under law, but under grace." Thanks for these thoughts.
