According to His will
To be treasured
And honed for His honor
For others' blessing
And encouragement
One not given lightly
It comes with responsibility
A responsibility...
To write
When He gives inspiration
To use our words
For good and not evil
To use the gift He has given
To lift up, not tear down
To write for justice
And not abuse
To show
The inhumanity of man
To enlighten
And lighten a load
To reveal
The secrets of God
To touch
The untouchable with His love
To reach
The unreachable for His glory
To encourage
As we have been encouraged
To strengthen
As we have been strengthened
To bless
As we have been blessed
To comfort
As we have been comforted
To use quill and ink
For His glory and not our own
To meet needs
Our own and those of others
A need...
To express truth
Based on God's Word
To reveal ourselves
In humility
To lead
The way to God
To show
The path of fairness
To give
What He has given
To influence
The world for Christ
To put pen to paper
Expressing God's heart
To fulfill
The purpose for which we were sent
God's children must show mercy
In all that they have penned,
For mercy is what feeds His heart,
His heart of love for men.
