There is no such word in heaven,
There's no such word as Eek!
The Lord of all creation
Is warm and soft to speak.
He's mindful of our Saviour,
He's mindful of His Son,
Forever we are children
Now redemption's work is done.
We'll hear a word of welcome,
Or see a beckoning call,
In Christ the Father knows us
No – there is no Eek at all.
Admittedly there should be
For all; that's you and me,
But Eek is not in heaven
Since Christ died on the tree.
For Eek denotes rejection,
Shock, horror, sin exposed,
Banished, awful separation,
Join the enemy deposed.
But The Blood speaks restoration,
If we have called Him Lord,
While angels fall in wonder,
We'll join with one accord
For He is high and mighty,
The Son now lifted up,
The Spirit broods o'er His holy ones,
Who drink Salvation's cup.
There is no Eek in heaven,
There's focus on the Son,
And 'ahhs' and 'ohhs' and 'glory!'
And 'thank You Holy One'.
