I sit, lost in my despair
Alone,
Depressed,
Frightened...
"God, where are you?"
My soul cries out.
And only silence echoes back to me.

OH GOD! Do You not hear me?
DO YOU...You...you...
...NOT…NOT...not...
......HEAR ME...ME...me...
Silence! It's always SILENCE!
Why do you mock me?!
It's always my words echoing back at me

OHHH LORD! Where are You?
Can't You see I'm in trouble?
My enemies are surrounding me!
To my right and to my left,
There is no escape for me.
I look to the hills, seeking Your face
But You aren't there...

Be still...
God?
Is that You?
I haven't heard
Your voice in a while.
Be Still and know,
That I AM GOD!

Darkness is shattered;
Light--
Hope--
A new day has dawned.
A fresh start--
Oh! Lord, it's beautiful

Delicate morning bells open,
Greeting the new day
Proclaiming:
New Life--
New Hope--
A second chance!
Oh, Thank You, Father!

Thank You, God, for second chances!

Personally, you have captured some very intimate moments I have had with the Lord in recent years. This was spoken with much emotion and I felt it. I praise Him that we can come to Him with every groan. Thanks.

Good reminder that there are others who have screamed the same words...I think a lot of us have been there - this reads like a modern day David.... lots of emotion, with a faith building ending.

I can definitely identify with the emotion you express here. I really like the way the emphasis on "Be still." It felt like a booming but loving voice tell where peace could be found.
