Do you remember Tony, with that crazy, wild-eyed grin?
He preached a wake-up message that I think we need again!
With nothing more than cornflakes, getting soggy in a bowl,
The Tiger we called Tony growled, and let the praises roll!

“This cereal is not just good,” He’d never hesitate.
With confidence he gave a grrrrrowl and said: “This cereal’s GRRREAT!”
No one could match his swagger; Tony Tiger faced them all:
Snap, Crackle, Pop and Captain Crunch; he made them all seem small.

For Tony knew a secret that I fear we fail to see
We often don’t get past the “grrrr”, to view things differently.
Our grumpy faces start the day, complaining without end.
We just see soggy cornflakes, and we struggle to transcend.

The secret is quite simple: “E – A – T” must follow “grrrrrrrr”.
This changes the perspective, as Old Tony would concur.
Next time you feel frustrated and you’d like to detonate,
Transform the “grrrr” by offering praise – and say instead: “It’s grrreat!”

Whenever you feel tempted to put on a sour face,
Remember that old Tiger, and let praise take it’s place.
And don’t forget what soggy flakes let you accumulate:
There’s sugar floating in the milk – now that’s not good: “It’s grrreat!”
