The Orange Shirt

I know a man.

I know a man with an orange shirt.

I know a man with an orange shirt with a Christian message on the front.

He wears his orange shirt to the grocery store.

He wears his orange shirt, with the Christian message on the front, to the grocery store and yells at the woman who gets his parking space.

He wears his orange shirt on the golf course.

He wears his orange shirt, with the Christian message on the front, on the golf course and cusses when his ball lands on the rough.

He wears his orange shirt to the family reunion.

He wears his orange shirt, with the Christian message on the front, to the family reunion and gossips about the “out-laws” who are not at the reunion.

He loves his orange shirt.

He loves his orange shirt with the Christian message on the front.

He thinks that wearing his orange shirt, with a Christian message on the front, makes him a good witness.

There’s nothing wrong with the message on the front of the orange shirt.

There’s nothing wrong with wearing an orange shirt with a Christian message on the front.

But, if the message on the shirt isn’t reflected in the heart and actions of the man…

It’s just an orange shirt.
