‘I have come in order that you might have life – life in all its fullness.’ John 10:10

It is when we give an opportunity for our spiritual expression that different colors of our spirituality grow and shine in its totality and we can be a light to the world.
God expects us to lead our lives in its fullness. Every aspect of our personality must bloom and bear its fruits. We are blessed with talents in abundance. Do we have opportunities or do we create a space for our expression of all facet of our personality for a spiritual empowerment?

There may be good singers among us. It doesn’t mean that they only should sing. Or else only the pastor or the one who stands on the pulpit only should speak. We can sing together as a community too.

Today, we have reached a level where there is no community around us to sing together, to pray together and meditate together.

Today songs are meant for the choir or singer or singers to sing. The preacher would speak and we listen. Some will be there to pray for us. We send prayer requests to pray on-behalf of us.

At another level, it is the TV channels. Sitting at home, we can listen to choir singing and sermons. No more we need to go to a church and to be part of any fellowships, communities or groups. There are a plenty of online communities, social networking sites like orkut, facebook or twitter to make us feel connected and that we are all linked one another.

It is a world specialization. One does the best in which he is good at. It is something that emerged along with industrialization and capitalism. As corporatism took root in the church, specialization and division of labor reaches there as well, when money and evil spirit has its overriding influence on all aspects so called spiritual organizations.
Singing is set apart for the singers and choir members. The priest or the preacher only speaks.

It is the principle of specialization and division of labor, coming in handy for a thriving faith and religious enterprises, that Adam Smith talked about long ago.

We need to sing as well as share our thoughts with our fellow beings. We need to pray and meditate as well. Building and strengthening a community of likeminded people in our neighborhood is what is required.
It is when we give an opportunity for our spiritual expression that different colors of our spirituality grow and shine in its totality and we can be a light to the world. It is not just the one color in us that should shine. All the colors should shine simultaneously. Life in its fullness is what God demands from us.
Our skills, talents have to find a space for its full growth and expression and shine as in a rainbow then to be mixed in perfection as a beam of light that brightness our surroundings!

Often people do take the easy way out. I didn't catch how this related to this week's topic, even though you mentioned color. You do make a valid point about involvement.
