How clearly the sky reveals Gods glory! How plainly it shows what he has done! Psalms 19:1
After a busy and hectic days work, my mind was very much disturbed over something that I could not understand. I tried to analyze and evaluate the situation. But, I could not identify the issue about which I was upset. It then occurred to me that I should sit silently for a while.
In the meantime, It was raining heavily that evening. I attempted to concentrate and tried to bring my mind to focus on that rain, its sound, the lightening, thunder and everything associated with it. When lightning and thunder became very strong I went to hide myself inside my room.
In another 15 minutes rain got over. Rain had a very cooling effect, not just on the environment but also for my soul. While raining, apart from natural sound created by rain, there was nothing. There was a complete silence. I felt that God was speaking to me.
When we sing the hymn O Lord my God
.. it take us to one important aspect that we often forget, the presence of God in his creation. With a clear mind if we observe the nature, one could sense the presence of its creator everywhere.
O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
consider all the works thy hand hath made,
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder,
thy power throughout the universe displayed

When through the woods and forest glades I wander,
and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
when I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
and hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze
