When I look into your deep chartreuse eyes
I’m reminded how our time always flies.
Like the bugs you catch with your tongue so lithe,
Like the sounds so sweet when your “ribbits” rise.
You have made me see that I want to be, the
One who is known as the Mrs. Kermie.
Up until the time that I first saw you
My green eyes would shine from my tears so blue.
Alone in the field waddling to and fro
Realizing my life was missin’ something so
Recollectin’ about the little frogs I kissed
Yet always unsure of whom was my prince.
My frog legs so sweet, I finally see
Every day from now on, you are the dish for me.
==========================================
First we were friends who just hung in my pond,
Realizing through time we had a special bond.
Outta the blue one day I got green with envy,
Gettin’ all outta sorts that you were not here “with” me.
Looking on as each of those frogs that you kissed,
Every one of them though I hoped your heart would diss.
Gettin’ psyched with each of their shots that had missed,
Setting aim with my heart to be your frog legs prince.
Serenading you with irresistible songs
And trusting my heart to not steer me wrong.
I know this one thing, it can’t be denied:
Deep-fried I would be without you by my side.
You asked me something and I must confess,
Everyday’s been better and I feel so blessed.
So my sweet can of Spam, my answer is yes…
