January

Clear crystal goblet,
Filled with dark red wine, held high.
A cup of kindness

February

Red paper heart asks
Will you be my valentine?
For eternity

March

Cool bare feet, not yet.
Cover them with warm red socks.
Winter’s hold is strong.

April

Nail pierced hands and side;
Stripes of red blood descending.
He’s risen indeed.

May

Allergy season
Red, teary eyes itch and sting
Persephone’s gift

June

Handpicked strawberries
Red jewels crowning ice cream
Summer enchantment

July

Faces bow to smell
Red roses in the garden
Oh grandiflora

August

Wind flows through long hair
Top down, sun bright, high speed
Hot red chariot

September

Little red wagon
Waits in the deserted yard
Yellow bus transports

October

Red and orange blaze
A tree graces the roadside
Wondrous creation

November

Cradle a hot mug
Snuggled under a soft throw
Red coals smolder down

December

An angel crowned tree
Beside empty red stockings
Anticipates peace

I LOVE IT!

A series of haiku, and the beautifully fit the topic. (Should I mention that I found one line--just one!--with a missing syllable?)

I can't want to find out who this is, and if it's a coincidence that this was entered this week.

These are charming!

I really enjoyed this poem. It was a great representation of how red is part of our lives each month of the year.
