Do you remember what it was like to wake up in the morning when you were a child? There usually wasnít anything weighing on our hearts or minds. Each day was the doorway to a new world with new things to explore, new things to learn, new fun to be had. We faced the world with wide eyes and an open mind. We believed and trusted that everything would always be well.

Do you remember waking up this morning? What was on your mind? Were your thoughts free or did you have worries? Where did you put your trust?

Though we change continuously throughout our lives, God never changes. Just because we are no longer children doesnít mean we donít have the same opportunities to learn, grow and explore. God makes the world new to us every day. He has many great things in store for us if we will only humble ourselves to accept them. By surrendering our worldly selves and learning to redevelop our childlike trust, we can continue to enjoy the everlasting childhood joys available to us through our Father.

You make excellent points in this devotional. I especially enjoyed the wisdom in the last paragraph.
