Lord, remove my feelings of single-handed pride.
Fill me with humility, for you worked at my side.
Empty from my mindset its warehouse of deceit.
Stock it with true wisdom, and fill until replete.
Deafen both my ears, God, to Satan’s every word;
but let in tiny whispers, so that Your Small Voice is heard.
Pray, deplete my body of its appetite for sin.
Feed it only righteousness, and pack it firmly in.
Veil and screen my eyes to the evil ones of night,
but give me crystal clarity to focus on Your Light.
Ease my covert soul of its self-reproach and shame.
Let forgiveness in, and then call for me by name.
Wash my careless tongue of profanity and curses.
Fill my mouth, instead, from The Holy Book of Verses.
Take Thee from my hands idle acts of mischief-making.
Fill them with good works for a fruitful undertaking.
Then empty from my heart any hate and scorn for others.
Fill it near to bursting with compassion for my brothers.
