Bow down daily; giving thanks and praise to The Lord;
Empty yourself of all sin, guilt and shame from the world

Fast and pray--as He gently leads--for one anotherís needs;
Immerse yourself in His Word: it is a lamp unto your feet--
Lift up your hands and voice and sing praises to Him!
Lift up your head and the King of Glory will come in!
Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and praise His Name;
Deep calls to deep, and your life will never be the same

Worship Jesus in the secret place where no one else can see:
Inconspicuously offer a sweet sacrifice because you are free!
Thank Him for overflowing you with His abundant love;
Heed His Word--respond--repent and speak in other tongues

Then, take time to listen as The Father speaks to your heart;
Hear how He directs you to walk in His Spirit and reach out--
Embark on the journey He purposefully had you start

Sing psalms and hymns and Spiritual songs aloud to all:
Praise God in the schoolyard or while shopping at the mall!
Inspire your brothers and sisters to give the glory to God--
Revive the basics of prayer and fasting--stay in His Word--
Intercede always, praying in the Spirit for all saints:
Tell everyone everywhere that our God reigns

Be very careful, then, how you liveónot as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Ephesians 5:15-21

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
Psalm 119:105

I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Daniel 9:3

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,

Your acrostic poem is a well-thought out message. I like the practicality of this thought, "Praise God in the schoolyard or while shopping at the mall!"
Lollie Hofer 06/15/09
My first response when this page popped up was, "Oh Wow!" and that was before I even read a single word. This took a lot more time and effort than it looks, especially matching up the lines of your poem with scripture. Thanks for all your effort. I enjoyed reading the poem as well.

Boy! You spent some time on this acrostic and listing of verses. I loved the "filled" stanza best. Nice work.
Glynis Becker 06/17/09
So clever and very well done!! Great job!
Sara Harricharan 06/17/09
Creative and well done. I loved the way the lines spelled out a double meaning. Great job!

My goodness, this is awesome. Cleverly constructed with a deep and inspiring message.
