:Pure waters,
that cleanse a reborn soul.
:A steeple,
in which the church bells toll.

:A shelter,
for the homeless in a park.
:A searchlight,
guiding lost ones from the dark.

:Sweet honey,
in someone’s bitter life.
:A soothing balm,
relieving stress and strife.

:The music,
for a choir with no song.
:Forgiveness,
for a girl who’s chosen wrong.

:The pillow,
for a mother needing rest.
:An anchor,
for a Christian put to test.

:A food bank,
to replenish empty shelves.
:An advocate,
for those who cannot help themselves.

:A champion,
who frees a battered wife.
:The compass,
in a young man’s Search for Life.

:Silken thread,
to mend a broken heart.
:Inspiration,
for a master painter’s art.

Alas, I cannot be all things
but choice was given me.
So this, far, far above all else,
is what I want to be:

:A servant to The Lord
to labor by His hand.
:To answer; “Father, here am I,”
Thy will is my command.

I love this stanza, ":A servant to The Lord -- to labor by His hand. -- :To answer; “Father, here am I,” -- Thy will is my command " May this be my prayer too.

Really good message in rhyme. Unique approach to the topic. And underlying - a prayerful yearning for God, and his purposes. Thanks. Colin
