It was a bitter pill Julia had to swallow when she found out that she was fired, especially when she learned that her employer suspected that she was mentally ill.

It wasn't until she later made an appointment with Dr. Stern, a local psychologist, that she indeed was suffering from bipolar disease.

Single and only 22, Julia lived a good life but a lonely one. Her job at the local library in smalltown Ohio was a fulfilling job but a job that often left her overly tired, with periods of depression.

Several weeks later after being put on antidepressants and a better diet, she began to feel more upbeat and positive.

AFter talking with a local university college advisor, she found that she was eligible for a grant at the university.

Those first weeks at the university were scary and challenging but she soon began to feel more self-worth and pride in what she was doing.

From the bitter knowledge of finding that she was bipolar to the knowledge that she was capable of learning and doing well at the university, she soon came to the conclusion that life can be happier and brighter, with just a few changes and a lot faith and hope.

I'm glad Julia was able to get help, and then went on to the university! I like your message of hope.
