My heart, my lungs,
Beating, pulsing.
I wait, I feel,
Your breath on me.
Like a cool stream of crystal water,
Your presence revives my soul.
Like the rains that fall to a barren land,
Your compassion tends to me.
Your might, Your words,
Conquering, subduing.
Your Truth, Your comfort...
I breathe in Your peace.
My soul, my life,
Yearning, grasping.
I need, I want,
Your breath on me.
Like a waterfall from heights above,
Your power washes me.
Like a wind across the prairie grass,
Your mercy exhaled to me.
Your touch, Your strength,
Guiding, Releasing.
Your eyes, Your hands...
I breathe in Your peace.
My tears, my hope,
Needing, searching.
I kneel, I ask,
Your breath on me.
Like the sunshine bright beyond the clouds,
Your love spreads over me.
Like an eagle soars before the storm,
Your truth, it carries me.
Your gift, Your joy,
Giving, Reassuring.
Your blood, Your Son...
