Your life, Your love,
Surrounding, forgiving.
Your care, Your shelter...
I breathe in Your peace.

My heart, my lungs,
Beating, pulsing.
I wait, I feel,
Your breath on me.

Like a cool stream of crystal water,
Your presence revives my soul.
Like the rains that fall to a barren land,
Your compassion tends to me.

Your might, Your words,
Conquering, subduing.
Your Truth, Your comfort...
I breathe in Your peace.

My soul, my life,
Yearning, grasping.
I need, I want,
Your breath on me.

Like a waterfall from heights above,
Your power washes me.
Like a wind across the prairie grass,
Your mercy exhaled to me.

Your touch, Your strength,
Guiding, Releasing.
Your eyes, Your hands...
I breathe in Your peace.

My tears, my hope,
Needing, searching.
I kneel, I ask,
Your breath on me.

Like the sunshine bright beyond the clouds,
Your love spreads over me.
Like an eagle soars before the storm,
Your truth, it carries me.

Your gift, Your joy,
Giving, Reassuring.
Your blood, Your Son...
I breathe in Your peace.

Very beautifully arranged. Wonderful desriptions. Some of my favorite lines-My soul, my life,
Yearning, grasping.
I need, I want,
Your breath on me.

Like a waterfall from heights above,
Your power washes me.
Like a wind across the prairie grass,
Your mercy exhaled to me.
Lovely!

I too had to laugh out loud about my manure (taxes) being useful. Great analogy. There's about 50 acres of farmland directly behind our house. The farmer likes to use manure as well when planting. He prefers sheep manure. Go figure, you can even choose the kind you want to use. Too bad we don't have more in the say as to where our manure (I mean, taxes) is spread. Thanks for sharing.

Oops! Hee, hee! Wrong story. I don't know I managed to back up one story but I did. My humblest of apologies. I'll let the next writer know to look on this page for their comments. If they haven't left you a comment yet, maybe they'll read your story as well and leave some lovely comments.

Even more than a poem, I could hear this being a praise song being sung at church. Beautifully written!

What beautiful poetry. I found myself sighing when I was through reading it-so calming, like the Psalms.
Blessings,
Patty
