In summer days I danced with joy—
Delighting in the daisy fields
And basking in the summer’s heat,
While savoring berries that she yields…

I lived the joy of love unfolding—
Exhilarated by her blooms,
Intoxicated by the sunshine
And unaware of coming gloom…

In autumn days the sun went down—
The leaves burned bright with sacrifice
And floated like my dreams, to earth
When all my hopes began to die…

I lived the pain of love refused
And watched my dreams fly south to stay;
I walked the paths now paved with color,
The bittersweet hues that love displayed…

In winter days my heart froze over—
So I built walls to ward off the cold;
I shivered without dreams to warm me,
Without the hopes that burned in my soul…

I lived with sorrow—love was gone;
My heart was buried deep in snow…
I dwelt in darkness, unaware
Beneath the snow, life started to grow…

In spring days, sprouts and buds sprang up,
And brought a joy that’s twice as bright!
I danced again in days of warmth,
With love made stronger through the night…

I live with bliss in love refined,
A love than cannot ever die—
’Cause God brought you in His perfect time
To bind with me in His design…

There are so many beautiful phrases in this! You certainly haven't lost your touch. I thought this was an excellent reflection of the week's topic, and I'm sad it didn't place. (Although, perhaps a few of the romantic references were bit pointed for the judges...)

It's good to see that you're still very active in the challenge. You have so much talent!
