She was hot
He was cold
And for a moment
Oh, so bold.
If they met
No not yet
But perhaps a chance
A good bet.

Peaceful sigh
Just a flirt
So mysterious
It won’t hurt.
Little blush
Return nod
Such a benign scene
Little odd.

Shades of gray
Sunlight dust
Daytime sounds abound
Appoint must.
Little time
In the green
Light variety
All have seen.

Ode David
In a Psalm
Thoughts in poetry
Going on.
Beauty wanes
Soulful march
Plaid pipers piping
Shining torch.

Dew glistens
Dampen lip
Clover memory
Wine to sip.
Perfection
God given
Painting a canvas
Heart driven.

Pounding beat
One and two
Pulse of sensation
Is to do.
Eye of brown
One to see
Shadows cross the room
It will be.

Locks do fall
As do eyes
A work of wonder
In disguise.
Mix the two
And will seem
A tempered bath of
Nature’s steam.

really love the rhythm of your poem. Had to read it a few times over to get the full sense of the story, but I'm not complaining!
Gregory Kane04/17/09
certainly intriguing

Oh, how I love the "hot and cold" at the beginning and the steam at the end! Wonderful! Love the lilting rhythm of this, too.
