Dance the tango,
with me darling,
Let the music,
guide our footsteps.
Footsteps gliding,
slow then faster,
Turn and stop, la
Caminata.

It takes two to,
tango darling,
Dancing in a,
conversation.
Speaking words through
dance and music,
Words of love and
Caricias.

Play bandoneon
soft and tender,
Giving voice to
el Paseo.
Weave your song with
strings and flute now,
As we weave our
steps together.

Dance the tango,
with me darling,
Let the music,
guide our footsteps.
Footsteps gliding,
slow then faster,
Turn and stop, la
Caminata.

In the tango,
two souls meeting,
Two hearts beating,
el Alma del Tango.
Let the music,
of the tango
Pulse and flow with-
in our veins now.

Feel the rhythm,
keeping time now
With our heart beats
in la Pista.
Let the music,
guide our dancing,
As we learn each
otherís rhythm.

Dance the tango,
with me darling,
Let the music,
guide our footsteps.
Footsteps gliding,
slow then faster,
Turn and stop, la
Caminata.

Each one equal,
in the tango,
Giving, sharing,
receiving, taking.
Each one adds their
own adornos,
To the pattern
of the tango.

It takes two to,
tango darling,
Dancing in a,
conversation.
Speaking words through
dance and music,
Words of love and
Caricias.

Authorís note: The tango has its beginning in Argentina and has been evolving for over a century. A mixture of dances and cultures has gone into the creation of this popular dance. It is characterized by accenting the first and third beats of the music.
Adornos: adornments or embellishments added by the dancers.
Bandoneon (ban-DOH-nee-ohn) a small, sqare concertina or accordion with buttons instead of a keyboard.
La Caminata: The Walk
Caricias: caresses
El alma del tango: the soul of the tango
La Paseo: the Stroll
La Pista: the flow or line of dance

Nice use of repetition--and the rhythm of this felt just right - very "tangoesque." Very nicely done.

I love the flow and beat of this piece. It felt like a song itself and images of a fair lady and gentleman all dappered up in finery danced in my mind. Nicely done! I really like the way you have creatively arranged this!Congrats!Lord bless your day!;0)

Beautifully written. If I knew how to Tango I'd have been dancing to it. Congratulations on a well-deserved EC.
