When Iím asked what nationality, I am, I proudly recite my list, US American, Canadian, German, English and Irish. Born in USA, I can claim to be native born. My mother emigrated from Canada and was English and Irish. Dad was German.

I am proud of my various heritageís that make up me. I am a patriotic citizen of the USA, but Canada, Oh Canada.

The dark blue of enormous lakes, snow-covered mountains surrounded by glaciers and waterfalls, thatís Canada. Open plains where sunrises and sunsets show the curvature of the earth and then add the Northern Lights, thatís Canada.

With friends and relatives in Canada, I make it my proud duty to sing the national anthem, O, Canada and to know the language well. When I speak, I often throw in an ďehĒ at the end of my sentences.

A nice insight into your family history. This would be great if you expanded it, with a few more details about your family.

Yes, there is room and reason to expand this. I'm glad that though you were taken out of Canada, Canada never got taken out of you!
