GooooD writing! I enjoyed reading this so much. I loved the pargraph at the jewlery counter. Such clever descritptions A +++++
Great writing. Your characters came alive and were so very likeable. Home - just as it is - turns out the best place to be. Well done.
Loved your opening and your humor. Thanks for the good laugh. This was a very fun read.
Superb voice! Love this entry, and poor Irving!
Wonderful humor and fun characterization. This made my morning. Well done.
Brilliant writing. "I shot him a look that could melt diamonds"... And yet Irving melted her heart at the end. Superb!
I love your MC. Irving has to be one very easy-going man. The unique romance here is priceless. :)
Ohhhhh, I LOVE this!!! Your descriptions (The sales clerk wore so much mascara I wondered how she was able to lift her eyelids made me laugh out loud) and characterization are excellent! Loved the end... it brought a smile.
Cat, I'm back again. You asked me to come back and write some red ink in. Well, I just don't have much red ink to go with this entry! I do love it. the only think I would say is that the first half was so good and then the second half just wasn't as much fun. But I think it's because you had to rush it for word count. If you ever plan on expanding this into a longer story, beef up the second half to match the wonderful witty word choices in the first half! That's all the red ink for you, folks.
Your story is humorous, fun and heartwarming, too. Loved the ending. Great job!
I have to admit I could relate to this on a personal level. Even though your words were limited, you developed your characters well. This was a fun read, and I love the ending. It made me smile. Oh, and I love Aunt Betty, too.
I'm glad her heart was changed in the end. Although I really didn't like her character at the beginning and at the mall! Loved your writing and descriptions - a very visual piece. :)
