He looked down from Heaven and saw Earth's plight
A dark little planet with no life and no light.
But He saw potential - so He made a command
"Let There Be Light"... and thus our world began

Four days later God created Two lights
A sun for the days and a moon for nights
And filled our heavens with millions of stars
While we orbited the universe with Jupiter and Mars.

For years we've watched God set the sun
Tucking it away when the day is done
Plus a colorful sunrise at the crack of dawn
When the moon's gone to bed and the stars are gone.

Man is dazzled by God's awesome lights
And His Stardust and Moonbeams are a special delight
So we look at the decor in the Heavens above
And read loud and clear..."Yes, God Is Love."

But when God looks down at us below
Does He see our Love, does it glow?
Does He see our Love returning to Him...
Or just a world that's dark and a wee bit dim?

But, Wait till you see Jesus' Birthday Cake
And I'm talkin' CANDLES - Not just the Cake!
We're gonna light the candles and send them through space
And put a smile on our dear Savior's face.

Then "Let There Be Christmas Lights", a Great display
That will shine up to Heaven on that Special Day
"Happy Birthday, Jesus, We love you so!
And may millions of Christmas Lights from Earth let you know!"

_

So, How many candles did Jesus blow out?
It's just one of those questions I'm gonna ask Him about...(one day.)
But because He lived on earth for a while
He knows our customs, so I think He'll smile.

I like this creative entry. There are so many ways we can let our lights shine--remember the song that tells us not to hide our lights under a bushel basket? Sometimes even a smile to a stranger in the grocery store is a way to "let our light shine."
