It was in the stable
In a place where the animals dwelt
In a place where the desperate would sleep
In a place where the light was dim
It was a moment that would save the world
Lost to the enemy of a gracious God
Lost to the sins of contention
Lost to the desires of men
Love of God personified was born to man
A love most desperately needed
A love man must learn to reflect
A love that would outshine every love before
A Child born among the lowly
He would change the world
He would give all He had
He would lead His people to salvation
There in that dark place
The First Christmas Light was born
