In each of us there is a one
Who lives inside of man
Hidden and not viewed
God placed it for His plan

The mirror will not reveal this one
No reflection may you peek
‘Tis not upon the surface lies
It’s one to search and seek

It is the part we truly are
But seldom do we know
That it exists in us still
Though it may never show

We must seek to find it
The inside one who dwells
With wisdom and much power
So as the Scripture tells

Go down into the layers
Dig deeply there to find
That this is not made of flesh
‘Tis fruit…another kind

It tastes of love, joy and peace
Gentle sufferings long
Goodness, faithfulness and meek
With temperance makes us strong

Oh, to let this one arise
Within the heart of man
To seek the hidden inner one
Destiny’s joyous plan

‘Tis the significant other
We hear that people look
When it resides just inside
So close yet we forsook

Rise up ye Holy Ghost
Ye vapor out of sight
And take you royal place
In power, that we might
