He was indeed a rich man! I like that there is happines woven throughout here, on the things that he did in life, the memories that he left behind. You have some very vivid descriptions, with the tapestry that made up his life-that was my favorite line. It seemed to sum up everything that he was about.
Your title reeled me in as I too love the "Fiddler." This was a moving testimony about a couple great lives. Here is my favorite line.
"The tapestry of his life was filled with such vibrant colours, enriched all the more by those lives he had touched and by those who had touched his."

If I were a Rich Man music is now going through my head! Truly your Father was doubly Rich--truly blessed-- with the richness and fullness of Christ. Wonderful story about a wonderful man.
I love this topic that has brought out so many incredible stories about incredible people and how they touch our lives. Thank you for sharing this one about a wonderful father. I would love to have known him-feel that in some ways I do now.
Way to go my friend. Truly a lovely piece. I knew as soon as I read the title it was you. Blessings and love to you all,

This is a lovely and tender eulogy. I like the fact that you shifted direction at the end and sought to apply it to the reader. One minor quibble – if it’s to be read by the unsaved, I would hesitate to use the word ‘pagan’ as this is quite a religious word.
