___________________________________What once was want
___________________________________Is living dream—
___________________________________Exotic beans
___________________________________And richest cream.
___________________________________With animated inspiration,
___________________________________I am alive.

__________________(TWO)
__________________What once was want
__________________Is hope unfurled—
__________________My pavement mapped out
__________________Through the world.
__________________No rainbow tangent thwarts me;
__________________Divine intention is my strength.

(ONE)
What once was want
Is now desire;
My ear pried downward
Toward the liar,
Tell me sweet secrets;
Cut short my arduous journey.

___________________What once was want
___________________Is fervent need—
___________________Dog on my heels—
___________________A kitten treed.
___________________Green waves of salvation
___________________Became my newfound peril.

Very interesting structure. I'm curious as to the name of the form -- with your first line repetition. I liked the "exotic beans" allusion. Your poetic descriptions are worthy of multiple reads. Nice work on this.

I love everything about this poem, from the alliteration in the title, to the imagery, to the perfect pacing of swell and decrescendo.

I'm curious about the form too. I've never read/seen anything like this. Powerful final stanza. Your post in the message boards has made me more curious about poetry.
