He reached me with His love and grace
So many years ago.
Want others to receive the same,
Almighty God to know.
Think back to all He’s done for me.
I’m constantly amazed.
Abounding mercy I received
Although I turned away.
Then enemy about destroyed
The life God gave to me.
Was caught in anorexia –
To it, I did retreat.
But Holy One would not stand by
And leave me all alone.
Pursued me time and time again.
By this, His love was shown.
Walked back to Him and let Him lead
My freedom journey then.
Broke free of anorexia
And we are close again.
I’m glad to share with others now,
The healing work He’s done,
So they can know my peace and joy
Is from the Holy One.
When others look to find their way
And seek a way to cope,
I tell them what God’s done for me -
My One and Only Hope.
He reached me with His love and grace,
And freedom He bestowed.
