Oh, beautiful! So accurately portrayed -- both the teen's attitude and the beauty of the Africans who have found contentment in the Lord. Your descriptive language is incredible and leads the imagination to the point of seeing and smelling and hearing. Excellent work! :)
You put us right in the middle of it. Great descriptions and excellent portrayal of emotions. This blessed me today.
Really good.
Thank you for sharing this slice of life in Africa. Beautifully written.
An absolutely beautiful witness story
This inspired me and left me teary-eyed. We never know what blessings await us in the midst of the very things we dread the most.
This is so touching and very well written. Thank you for sharing this. Excellent.
This is very realistic. We spent five years in Zimbabwe as missionaries and everything rings true. I loved the growing conflict within the teenager’s heart and the contrast between how Christmas was celebrated in the two cultures.
I never went onto a far away mission field but your descriptions of what it was like are excellent. Good story.
Lovely. I like your intentional sentence fragments; they give your narrator a unique voice.
I enjoyed the first person presentation. Very lively writing that kept my interest throughout. And I'm glad your MCs Christmas turned into a Blessing. God bless.
Very nice and smooth as silk. You had us hanging on to each lovely word. Great description and feeling.
You make your experience come to life for the reader...excellent writing.
