To the one who felt my first breaths
To the one who gave me my blue eyes
God Bless You
To the one who stopped my first tears
To the one who helped my first steps
To the one who soothed each of my fears
God Bless You
To the one who cured my first pains
To the one who chased my first fiends
To the one whose blood flows through my veins
God Bless You
To the one who was and always will be
There for my endeavors and there for me
To the one who stood by me through and through
No matter the troubles, you made them few
And years will pass without acknowledgment
And tears may travel from a distant land
But I will know where memories are sent
Thanks to the one that was holding my hand
To the one who brought me into this life
Now I must leave and go off on my own
Enduring hardships and towers of strife
For the one who watches how I have grown
Because I cannot forget
The one that birthed my dream
Each step will be in high spirits
For the one I call my mother
