Keeper of my lighthouse, please
Shine in me today.
Standing firm on God my Rock,
May I never stray.

I Am the solid Rock on which you stand.

Clouds of fear impair my sight,
Doubt upon the source.
Trying hard to do what�s right,
Help me stay on course.

I will always be there to light your way.

Keeper of my lighthouse, know
You are you in control.
Lead me from this gloom of night,
Compass for my soul.

I will steer thee beyond your darkest night.

Like ships off course I wander,
Onto darkn�d reef.
Lord, steer me safely yonder.
Bring me back from grief.

I will lead if you will only follow.

Keeper of my lighthouse, you
Bathe me in your light.
Radiance makes straight my path,
Shine with all your might.

I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.

Through this storm of dreadful pain,
Waves consume my life.
Bring me through my tempest strain,
Lead me from this strife.

I will guide thee through every storm of life.

Keeper of my lighthouse, come!
Let your bright light shine.
Casting doubts and fears away,
Save this life of mine.

Child, I Am the Keeper of your lighthouse.

Beautiful imagery, beautiful meter and rhyme, and I like the italicized interludes between each verse. A lovely, heartfelt poem.

You've done a super job here with rhyme and meter. Even more important is the message that you've so creatively woven into your word pictures. This is a poem to be proud of. Keep up the good work!

This is a beautiful poem. To me it would have read smoother without the "extra" words from the lightkeeper. It seemed confusing to read. The poem stands alone very well by itself. And I think it is VERY good!

This is probably in the top three for me of all the poems I have read so far. It is beautiful and love the way you weave words from Scripture throughout. Very nice imagery and the whole thing flows really smoothly. I love it! Blessings, Teri

A prayer from the heart. The voice of God in response. That's the way a prayer should be. I could hear the waves crashing as i read.

This is making me cry! It's sweet, beautiful and wonderfully heartfelt. I liked the italics between the verses, and the even metered ryhme. It just flowed really well. My only note is the last verse didn't have the double ryhme that some of the others had. Otherwise, it was very well done! ^_^

Awesome. Well crafted, great flow, wonderful message. I have always loved lighthouses (I have a mantle full of them and a Kinkade tapestry of one hanging over the fireplace) and your imagery and characterization were great.
