Layiní Down My Life

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I will not be afraid Ďcuz Iím eternally blessed.
Iíve been born again. I asked Jesus in my heart
And everyone could tell I got a brand new start.

And I will always serve Jesus Ďcuz He deserves it
To be treated like a King Ė to you this may be unheard of.
Iím watching how Iím talking and where Iím walking
In case you and your homies end up lying in chalk.

We will all take a trip -- this you gotta know --
Straight to hell or to heaven. Where you gonna go?
Godís the kind of G who loves the homies, you and me.
Iím on my knees in the night sayiní prayers for your eternal life.

Iím layiní down my life for the cause of my King Jesus Christ
We got a situation youíd best be faciní
No one ever got it right Ďcept the one who bore our stripes.
You donít wanna go down with the big D.
Too much television watchinís got the world deceived.

Are you an educated fool with sinniní on your mind?
Got a heart full of pain but keeping a dry eye?
Are you lowdown gangsta full of pride and anger?
God is seeing it all. Have you aroused His anger?

Death ainít nothiní but a heartbeat away.
When you stand before God, what will you say?
Itís Jesus, see. Heís the only open door to heaven.
Heís the One you gotta know.

If you want to be free, then bow your knee
To the One who died for you and me.

Iím layiní down my life for the cause of my King Jesus Christ

The power and the money, you know itís going sour
Minute after minute, hour after hour.
Wonít you quit your runniní-- Ďcuz God is always lookiní?
Whatís going on in your heart? Without Jesus, youíll be cookiní.

You know you need to learn, and someoneís here to teach you.
No need to understand. Believe is all you gotta do.
God says you can. Some of you wonít. Some of you will.
Thatís why I know Iím not wastiní time, fool.

Iím layiní down my life for the cause of my King Jesus Christ

If you want to be free, then bow your knee
To the One who died for you and me.

I like how this one is fun, yet shares a challenging message.
Keep up the good work!

Definetly something a few rap artists need to get hold of... a strong message with a strong flow. One to share with the world!
Rita Garcia05/24/07
Enjoyed the message...woven through the perfect flow.

This is great. I love the message, livin' where I live, the news is filled with crime and shootings. This gives hope.
