Tell me this is not happening? I haven’t had an accident in twelve years. I was just getting used to the great insurance rate that accompanies good drivers. Now it will probably go through the roof. I really hate no fault in New York, it was clearly her fault.

She never even signaled that she was turning.

“Excuse me laa--dy , hey aren’t you Angela-Jessica or whatever on that T.V. show, 'Murder She Wrote'?”

“Yes, yes let’s get on with it. Here is my insurance card, please let me see yours. I really must get to the set, I’m already a tad late,” Angela says sharply.

“Look lady, I mean Jessica, you hit me you know.”

“My name for your information is Angela – not meaning to be rude, I really am quite pressed for time. So let’s let our insurance companies take care of the details: I really must run.”

“Hold on there, what is that in your trunk, kinda looks like a dead guy?”

“Need I remind you that I am late for a screening and actually it is this body that will be late for his curtain call? If you have ever watched even one episode, you know that the first act is where we come up with a dead body, and then I solve the mystery from there. Here’s a free pass, if you would like to view a rehearsal sometime. I hardly think we need to involve the police, since there is hardly a scratch on either vehicle. Good day to you!”

“Did this just happen to me or am I dreaming?” I really have to stop talking to myself, and maybe cut back on my television viewing.

Interesting.

Intriguing title and surprising main character! I'd like to know, though, is the dead body in her car a REAL dead person or just a "dummy"? That is the mystery here to me! :)

Dum-dum,dum dum! goes the music. Mystery unsolved but nevertheless a mystery! Neat job of creative thinking....and brief! I liked it!
Catrina Bradley 04/14/07
Cute! Angela Lansbury, a murderer? Hmmm. I guess we'll never know, unless you write the sequel for us! :)

Good writing, but I would have liked for it be a little longer.
Sara Harricharan 04/17/07
Oh, was she dreaming or did it all really happen? Mysterious for sure! I can see this expanding into novel material-keep up the good writing!
Julie Arduini04/17/07
I would have loved this expanded, more descriptions and action, but what a great concept!
