The leading of the Holy Spirit touched my heart and my pen became that of a ready writer.

It was growing late and a half pass midnight and I knew I had to wirte a message for that moment or the thought would be lost forever. The Holy Spirit assured me that someone somewhere needed to hear what He was instructing me. That what He had given me to say would save a life and encourage the suicidal.

My pen took a mind of it's own as it moved across the pages, I could not stop. These words flowed from me as a dam that had broken, "I set before you life and death, chose life."

So many that I had ministered to over the years were in such bad shape spiritually that I could not help but wonder if we were all reading the same Bible. So many Christians just let the Pastor be their guide and were spiritually dead. Like dead men walking on death row waiting for execution. I wanted so badly to say something to change that. Something that would cause an explosion of new life in each of them. Something that would cause them all to know what Jesus meant by, "I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly." Where was that abundant life? Why were so many not receiving it? Where was that joy unspeakable that's full of glory?

I finished the message with this,"which have you chosen, life or death? it's up to you." The response were incredible. Many said it was a wake up call and God had given them a fresh vision and renewed joy. I quietly thanked the Lord for using me to aid in His work here on Earth. I am honored each time I see lives changed when God sends me a message to write, for noone can write and reach a heart quite like God.

Your last sentence is so true! Praise God for His working through you and your willingness to let Him.

Yes, those are the words of life we all need - straight from the quill or God. Very well communicated. Shows the humble heart of a true pastor.

Very visual - I could definitely "see" this. I must admit I was a bit distracted by a few grammar and typographical errors, but I still enjoyed this very much!

Perhaps an anecdote or one of Jesus' favorite ways of snaring people's interest - "A Parable", would enhance this little gem on writing words given by the Holy Spirit. Just that little "something extra" to make your point. Just one persons suggestion...nice job.

"So many Christians just let the Pastor be their guide and were spiritually dead."

After much prayer and tears, I left a church like that. My heart aches for those who stayed, choosing to follow man rather than God. You have a life-changing message in this piece. I wish you would expand it.
